ZaZa's Sweater- Shell Tunic
This Shell Tunic is designed with simple one piece, raglan, construction. It offers a wide boat neck neckline that can be modified for a smaller fit.
Gauge
FSC row- every 4 fsc’s equal approximately 1”
4 ½ x 4 ½ square in pattern= 4 pattern repeats by 14 rows
Pattern Notes:
• Pattern is written in sizes 2 (4, 6, 8, 10) unless otherwise noted
• Stitch Pattern= 1sc in every ch1 sp. SH in every sc around
• Pattern Repeat= 1sc and 1SH
• Join each round with sl st
-For rows beginning in sc: sl st into 2nd st of shell then 1sc in ch1 sp of shell (you may want to mark the sc to make it easier to see when joining)
-For rows beginning in SH: (ch3, 1dc, ch1, 2dc) in same st
Gauge Swatch- Measure gauge in swatch
Gauge is exceptionally important for correct fit- pattern will not be guaranteed if swatch is not accurate.
1- FSC 40. Join round with sl st
2- (Ch3, 1dc, ch1, 2dc) in first st. Skip next st. 1sc in next st. Skip next st. SH in next st. Repeat from around.
Sl st into ch3 to join round. – 10 pattern repeats
3- Sl st into next dc of shell. 1sc in next ch1 sp. SH in next sc. 1sc in next ch 1sp. SH in next sc. Sl st into first sc
to join round.
4- Repeat rows 2 & 3 consecutively 7 times more. – 1fsc row and 16 shell rows
