Yoho
by Amy Swenson
Designed from the shoulders down in one piece, the Yoho pullover features surprisingly easy cabled sections. While drop shoulders can sometimes feel boxy and bulky, adding a saddle shoulder allows sleeves to fit and flatter both girls and guys.
I named this design after Yoho National Park, in the B.C. Rockies. When we lived in Calgary, our favorite weekend spot was a small but perfect lake, Emerald Lake, nestled in the mountains. I wore this there on several visits, and now that I live in Toronto, it always reminds me of that rugged place in the wilderness.
Shown in Brown Sheep Shepherd’s Shades (100% Wool, 131 yds/118m per 3.5oz ball), color “Red Plum”
Previously published as “Charisma” in 2008.
