We strive to have balance and harmony in our lives, and a great way to remind ourselves is on a fun pair of socks! These colorwork socks are worked on 2 circular needles from a charted pattern and can be knitted using solid colors, variegated colors or a mix of both.
These are Fair-Isle knitted socks and the pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters familiar with stranded colorwork techniques and toe-up sock construction. Pattern includes color charts for the instep and foot. The pattern is in digital (.pdf) form form and is available for instant download.
CONSTRUCTION: Toe-Up
NEEDLES: 2 Circular (I use 16” circulars)
SIZE(S) AVAILABLE: Medium & Large (wide) width
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Intermediate knitters familiar with stranded colorwork technique, toe-up construction, short row heels, basic knitting stitches.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
~ Medium: 50 grams (200-230 yards) of Main Color sock weight yarn and 50 grams (200-230 yards) of Contrast Color sock weight yarn
~ Large: 100 grams (400-450 yards) of Main Color sock weight yarn and 50 grams (200-230 yards) of Contrast Color sock weight yarn
