This is a colorwork hat inspired by the coloring of Yellowjackets aka Wasps. It is lightweight, less then 100 grams, yet warm and comfy.

A fun pattern to use up fingering weight leftovers for contrast color, the contrast color doesn’t need too much yardage.

S, M/L
S 24 cm wide at the brim and 28 cm from brim to top after blocking.
M/L 27 cm wide at the brim and 28 cm from brim to top after blocking.

Bottom up, tubular cast on

29 sts x 34 rows/10 cm/4 inch on 2.5 mm/0 US colorwork/in the round

NEEDLES
2 mm (0 US) and 2.5 mm (1 US ) circular needles, 40 cm or 80 cm long(if you use magic loop) or/and DPNs

YARN
Malabrigo Mechita, 100% Merino Wool, 100 grams, 420 yards (384 meters)

Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles 100% Merino Wool, 100 grams, 400 yards (366 meters)
