CROCHET VERSION

Designed for 3 skeins of fingering weight, this shawl is the exclusive pattern for the Progressive Party Yarn Crawl between 3 local yarn shops in Virginia. The shawl pattern is divided into three clues, one for each shop:

Woolly Jumper, Floyd, VA

New River Art and Fiber, Blacksburg, VA

Wool Workshop, Roanoke, VA

Meant for the adventurous beginner, Yarn Shop Valentine is an excellent introduction to shawl construction. There is texture, lace, and bobbles, and most sections are intuitive. The final shape is similar to a semi-hexagon and hangs easily over the back and shoulders.

YARN:
3 skeins of yarn
1 skein light
1 skein middle
1 skein dark

Notes:
* when substituting yarn, make sure your middle skein is more than a 400 yard skein (the recommended yarn is 436 yards/100gram), or swatch to match gauge.

• If wanting to swatch, swatch with the dark skein as it uses the least amount of yarn in the shawl.
