This is a machine knitting pattern (You can find the hand knitting version here) designed for a 9mm bulky knitting machine originally, but my test knitter painter1510 was able to knit hers using a mid gauge machine, LK100. I used my SK155+SR155 machines to knit the sample.

EQUIPMENTS

• A 9mm bulky knitting machine with or without a ribber attachment
• A tapestry needle and/or a crochet hook
• 4 removeable stitch markers or safety pins

Yarn Bomber Jacket is designed with your scrap yarn stash in mind. It’s a super cozy oversized jacket with voluminous sleeves. It’s all made of jersey except for the small ribs, so it’s very easy to make with or without a ribber and is a perfect beginner project. I used a combination of several different yarns that I had in my stash. I mainly used bulky weight mohair or suri alpaca blend yarns, but I used some DK weight yarns doubled and even a lace weight yarn tripled to create this cardigan. You can use any yarn color combinations depending on what you have at hand. Of course, no knitter would judge you if you purchase a brand new yarn to start this project!
