A basic pullover is elevated by tiered rooftops of bold chevrons. Seamed construction provides a crisply structured fit and the arrowhead motif is worked in intarsia. Heighten the playful graphic effect with bright or high-contrast color choices; choose a tone-on-tone pairing to create more subtle interest.

CONSTRUCTION

• The front and back are worked flat, and the sleeves are worked in the round to the cap, at which point the cap is worked flat.
• The pieces are sewn together and the collar picked up and worked in the round.

MATERIALS
Worsted weight wool yarn in the following approximate amounts:
650 (700, 830, 930, 1040, 1185) yards Color 1 (C1)
80 (80, 90, 100, 100, 115) yards Color 2 (C2)

Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 140 yards/50g):
5 (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) skeins C1, 1 skein C2

GAUGE
15 stitches & 24 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking
13-stitch panel from Chart measures 3” wide with Size A needle(s), after blocking

NEEDLES
Size A (for Main Fabric):
One pair of straight needles or a 32” circular needle and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge listed
Suggested Size: 5½ mm (US 9)

Size B (for Ribbing):
One pair of straight needles or a 32” circular needle and one set of DPNs, two sizes smaller than Size A
Suggested Size: 4½ mm (US 7)

Knitter’s preferred style of needle (straight or circular) may be used

32” circular needle can be used instead of DPNs if using the Magic Loop method for working small circumferences in the round (i.e. Sleeves)
