The Yamdrok Shawl is part of the Tibetan Euphony collection designed by Valentina Cosciani for mYak.

A unique asymmetric shawl worked from the top down. The first section is simply knit in striped garter stitch. The following section is worked in lace and shaped into a wedge using short rows. The shawl is completed with a simple garter border.

Finished Measurement:
194 cm – 76¼” wide along the top edge and 42 cm – 16½” deep at the center.

Yarn:
mYak Baby Yak Lace;
First colour (FC) – 1 skein; sample knit in Petrol colorway
Second colour (SC) – 1 skein; sample knit in Emerald colorway

Suggested Needles:
3.5 mm – US 4
and
5 mm – US 8 (optional, used for the final bind-off) with an 80 cm – 32” or longer cable.

Notions:
Tapestry needle and scissors
Pins and a tape measure for blocking

Gauge:
17 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm – 4” in garter stitch (after blocking).
Gauge is not critical for this shawl. However, aggressive final blocking is essential in order to achieve the full suggested length and to allow the lace stitches to open up.
