About the design …
X-tern (tern = the Danish word for square) is a classic raglan sweater, knitted seamlessly top-down in a textured pattern with squares. A very easy stitch pattern you will learn very fast.
X-tern has a boxy shape, with slightly wide and stubby sleeves. To complete the simple style, the edges are kept discreet with a thin I-cord bind off - and a slightly wider edge in neckline.*

Yarn suggestions
1) LINUM from CONCEPT by Katia, or similar summer yarn (70% cotton / 20% linen / 10% polyamide):109 yd (100 m)/50 g.
450 / 500 / 550 / 600 / 650 / 700 g

2) TYND eco wool from www.hyggestrik.dk or similar Light fingering weight wool: 306 yd (280 m)/50 g. 2 strands of the yarn are held together.

Gauge
Before wash: 21 sts & 32 rows in stitch pattern with needle size US 7 (4.5 mm) = 4” (10 cm)
After wash and blocking: 19 sts & 32 rows = 4” (10 cm)
