TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS PATTERN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included. I look for videos as close as possible to the instructions I have written. Sometimes they may be slightly different but still very helpful.

  • Cast-on
  • Bind-off
  • Cable cast-on
  • 2 x 2 ribbing
  • Neckline ribbing worked in the round
  • Weave shoulders together, row to row

Regardless of actual body measurements, everyone prefers a different finished look. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, in the chart below, which refers to this specific garment only. It can help your choose the look you prefer.

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE

  • Brown Sheep Company—Cotton Fine
  • 80% Pima Cotton—20% Merino Wool
  • 1.75 ounces (50 grams) each pull skein—222 yards (203 meters) each pull skein
  • 6(6 – 7 – 7 - 8) pull skeins

For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.
