TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS PATTERN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included. I look for videos as close as possible to the instructions I have written. Sometimes they may be slightly different but still very helpful.

  • Cast-on
  • Bind-off
  • Yarn overs
  • Pick-up and knit stitches
  • M1
  • Sl1, k1, psso
  • Sl1, k2tog, psso

Regardless of actual body measurements, everyone prefers a different finished look. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, in the schematic below, which refers to this specific garment only.

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE

  • Katia – Idea Jeans
  • 50 % cotton - 35% rayon – 15% linen
  • 1.75 ounces-(50 grams)—85 yards-(78m) each skein
  • 11 skeins (I only had 17 grams remaining from 10 balls – cutting it too close)
  • Approximately 935 yards-(855m) are needed for this pullover

For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN
This yarn has been discontinued. There are no yarns listed for a substitute. It is a .125 inch-(3.175 mm) wide flat ribbon.

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZES

  • Size 9-(5.5mm) straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
  • Size 9-(5.5mm) circular needle, 29 inches-(73.5 cm) long

NOTIONS

  • Gauge ruler
  • Tracking sheet-included in pattern
  • Yarn markers - number 10 crochet thread in a contrasting color is great for yarn markers
  • Two ring markers
  • Tapestry Needle
