Your baby will love being wrapped in this silky cotton blanket, surrounded by Dandelion kisses and fun pointy hap corners. Ideal to gift and to cosset your own precious babe.

The blanket is knitted as a mitred square. Starting with the length of two of the sides of the square, paired central decreases ensure an even shape. Stitches are then picked up along the edges and a dandelion seed pattern worked in contrasting colours with a double centred decrease forming the corners. The edging is worked in basket weave stitch and finished with a stretchy bind off to give the ultra-pointed corners and compensate for the different stretchiness of the CO and side edges.

Video links are provided to help you with all of the techniques, so it is very achievable for all levels of knitter, even the most hesitant!

I used a Knit Picks cotton linen DK mix which is ideal for washing and wearing. Needle was 3mm / 2.5 US and you will need approximately 300 metres of main colour and 65 metres of contrast colour.
