Woonwinkel Warmers
Woonwinkel Warmers are meant to be functional as well as beautiful. They have a modern style vibe as well as a cozy and inviting look and feel. And oh! That PINK color!
Woonwinkel Warmers are named after my amazing sister’s shop in Downtown Portland, Oregon - Woonwinkel - which carries handcrafted items from independent designers and boasts a beautiful, newly painted PINK wall. So.
This pattern has been tech-edited, test-knit by 3 wonderful ladies AND test-worn.
There’s a hat to match these arm warmers! See my Woonwinkel Pink Hat pattern here.
You can substitute any worsted-weight yarn for use in the pattern.
You’ll need a cable needle and stitch markers.
Skills needed include working in the round, knitting, purling and working a simple cable stitch.
If you’ve never made arm warmers or fingerless gloves before, this pattern is written with you in mind.
Start the pattern with a cast-on of your choice (3 different ones are suggested, along with a link to a video tutorial) and work the rib cuff. Change to larger needles and begin a very simple cable stitch pattern for the body. You’ll work the thumbhole by knitting flat for several rows, then joining back in the round; there’s pictures to help if you’re new to thumbholes. Change back to smaller needles for the fingertip cuff. Choose a cast-off method (another video tutorial if you like).
Choose from 3 sizes- Child, Adult (Small/Medium) and Adult (Large)
Pattern support available! My contact info is included in the pattern. I want you to enjoy knitting up these lovely arm warmers. Happy Knitting!
