Wooly Woodland Moccasins
When you click on the pdf, if you get a note saying that the file is damaged, refresh your browser. For some reason, that seems to fix the problem.
These are based on a traditional moccasin shape
from the northeast region of what is now the
United States.
Size: 5.25 inches long before felting. After felting,
4.75 inches long. About right for a 6-month-old
baby, but babies vary. In theory, I made these for
Juliet, our model baby, but the close observer will
notice that she is a little over 12 months old, and
these are too small on her. Maybe next time, I’ll
get it right!
Yarn: Worsted-weight, feltable yarn, such as
Cascade 220, about 1.25 ounces or 75 yards. 1
skein of 220 would make almost 3 pairs of these
little guys. I must admit that this pair was made
with long-held mystery-stash yarn. So, I have no
idea what it actually was.
The website that previously hosted this has dropped all of my old patterns. They are currently unavailable, but I may reissue them at another time.
