Woollen Headwear: Bonnet
This pattern is
available for free.
The Queenslander newspaper of 22 March 1913 describes this hat as a woollen bonnet, Dutch bonnet or motor bonnet.
“The bonnet itself is worked in treble stitch, while the turned-over front is in tricot, which forms an excellent groundwork for a cross-stitch design embroidered in coloured silk.”
Materials required: 2oz. of Paton’s white double wheeling, a medium bone crochet hook, embroidery threads, a fancy button
