I’m joining 18 other #knitting designers to bring you an amazing bundle of fabulous knitting patterns. This time the theme is Lace, perfect to make and to wear for warmer weather and longer, sunnier days. Designer: Julia Schwartz
Yarn: Blue Sky Fibers: 100% Cotton, worsted weight. 3.5 oz, 150 yards/ 137m. Color Sky. 3 skeins needed for the project.
Needles: 9/ 5.5 mm
Gauge: 8 stitches = 2 inches.
Size: 38 inches by 14 inches after blocking
Stitches Used: Knit (K), Purl (P), Slip stitch (Sl St), Slip stitch knit 2 together pass slipped stitch over (Sl st, k2tog, psso), Knit 2 together through the back loops (K2tog tbl), 4 st right leaning cable (C4R), 4 stitch left leaning cable (C4L)
Special stitches:
(Sl st, k2tog, psso): Slip 1 stitch purl wise from the left needle to the right needle, knit 2 stitches together, slip the slipped stitch back over the knit 2 stitches together. This creates a 2 stitch decrease.
K2tog tbl: Knit 2 together through the back loops.
C4R: Slip 2 stitches purl wise from the left needle onto a cable needle, place the cable needle behind your work, knit 2 stitches, place the stitches on the cable needle back on the left needle, knit those 2 stitches.
C4L: Slip 2 stitches from the left needle onto a cable needle, place the cable needle in front of your work, knit 2 stitches, place the stitches on the cable needle back on the left needle, knit those 2 stitches.
