We don’t get a lot of winter where I live, so I have to bring the winter to my socks! So I called these my Winter Vibes socks, because we still had summer weather when I started designing them, and vibes were all I could hope for!

So I wanted motifs that would remind me of winter. There had to be candy canes, of course. And I wanted trees. Couldn’t forget snowflakes! And mittens! Then I thought of a sweater. (And if I do say so myself, I wouldn’t mind having a real sweater that looks like the one on these socks!) What would the last motif be? Silly me, of course it had to be socks/stockings!

I dithered for a while over what the sole would look like, but eventually I settled on candy stripes! (You can see it has the same striping pattern as the candy canes.)

One fun part about these socks is that you can completely rearrange the order these sections appear in to suit whatever colors you use!

As with all of my stranded colorwork patterns, I include a lot of help and tips in the pattern, including links to videos with techniques that I use for all of my stranded socks.
