Windowpanes
Slip-stitch boxes are worked circularly with a semisolid outline and a highly colored dyed-around skein that has been designed to pattern. The colors shifting behind the window frames have a magical look, and the pattern continuity is maintained by working a specially designed 3-needle bind-off shaped crown. I-cord is looped together for a playful top-knot. Without the added solid stitches, the hand-dyed yarn would have produced a circumference too small for a hat.
