Window Into Camelot
These romantic mitts were inspired by Medieval windows, doorways, and tracery. Despite their ornate appearance, they are practical too. They have long cuffs to fit under your coats or sweaters and a thumb gusset to allow greater freedom of movement. The dramatic front is mainly accomplished through increases and decreases, with just a few color cables. The back features a simple peerie motif which echoes elements in the rest of the design. Latvian braids set off the design perfectly.
It is designed for two sizes: Medium and Large. The Medium will fit most small hands comfortably, though they will come down further on the hand.
The cuff could be made smaller or larger by adding or subtracting rounds of the 1X1 cuff.
The design uses two colors of Palette. One ball of each color is more than enough to make the mitts; in fact, you’ll probably have enough for two pairs. I suggest weighing your leftovers just to make sure.
