Winding Road Socks
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Pattern originally published for the Kitchen Sink Dyeworks Badass Women’s Yarn Club, October 2010.
Knit cuff down, these socks feature a small Bavarian-style twisted stitch cable that wraps around the leg and foot. Heel is a modified version of a Priscilla Gibson Roberts-style short-row heel. Four-segment star/round toe.
This pattern can be knit with your preferred sock construction method, whether it’s traditional double pointed needles, two circulars, or Magic Loop. Distribute stitches appropriately for the method of your choice.
Written (not charted) cable pattern is easy to memorize. Pattern includes link to video tutorial on the Magic Loop technique (optional) and the short-row heel method.
Tech edited by Kate Vanover.
