Wily Weasels
Weasels are wily little critters that can be a real hoot to observe! They also have some fascinating lore attached to them… much of which isn’t so nice. One of the more heroic legends says that weasels are able to slay the deadly basilisk monster due to its immunity from the beast’s venom and murderous gaze!
These weasels are modeled after the Short-tailed Weasel, which have two distinct coats: one white, for the winter, and the other brown to reddish-brown, for the summer. As the seasons change, their fur changes not only in color, but also density and length to meet the demands of the weather. Weasels are generally considered as nocturnal, but can be seen any time of day, are active year-round, skilled hunters and very agile!
