Willowbrook Shawl
Willowbrook (named after the street I used to live on, in Toronto), is a long triangular shawlette that is just the right length to wrap around the neck once. Garter stitch is knit to a slightly loose gauge to create a soft cushy fabric that drapes nicely.
The lacy edge - worked as you go - provides interest and charm. The shape and weight are ideal to wear underneath a coat - the tapered ends can be tucked in to look like a cowl. It is also the perfect warm-weather accessory.
It is knit side to side, from one point to the other. It’s perfect for a Gradient yarn, or it can showcase a beautiful variegated or handspun yarn.
Pattern includes instructions to make the most of whatever amount of yarn you have, so it’s perfect for handspun!
Pattern has been test knitted using several different yarns.
Lace pattern is both charted and written.
