Willenhall Mitts
These mittens are worked in the round, from the cuff to the tip. The thumb has a gusset for improved fit. The colourwork pattern is very easy to work. It’s easy to memorise, and there’s a maximum of five stitches before a colour change, so it’s easy to keep your tension even. Working a stranded design like this adds to the warmth – the floats of the second colour at the back of the fabric create a lining.
