Wild Rose Raglan
About the Design:
This design needed a different approach, from my usual stranded method of presenting ideas. Some ideas don’t fit into that framework, but also, are too intriguing to leave unexplored.
This Wild Rose motif was derived from an Arts & Crafts era wallpaper frieze. I was taken by the simplicity of the shape, but as I dislike working intarsia, and wanted the pullover knit in-the-round, I decided that duplicate stitch would be the best way to depict the image. The plain knitting and bulky yarn make this sweater a quick and easy project.
When the dreariness of winter surrounds you, this sweater will bring remembrances of a summer rose garden to your day!
