White Wolf Cowlette
Also available as the White Wolf Kit, where you can buy the yarn and the pattern together here.
The White Wolf Cowlette is named after the White Wolf - Geralt of Rivia. He is the main character from the TV Series ‘The Witcher’. Although my first encounter was with the video games and books. I hope you can tell how much I love this series and the characters.
The cowlette reminds me of one of his armour sets that you can wear in the games specifically. He has chain mail on his shoulders - pauldrons (the garter section). The star stitches represent the studding on the jacket. Then there is the garter border that goes around the bottom which represents the straps that hold his swords on to his back.
This one skein cowlette is just written with simple directions. It’s easy enough for an adventurous beginner but adding in that texture makes it fun for an advanced one. It includes garter, stockinette, star stitches (which are super simple). You start by working flat and then join in the round to finish it off. That makes it easy to wear cowlette as you don’t need to figure out how to arrange it as it’s all set up for you! So, you can make a piece of cosy armour to keep you warm on a chilly night!
