CONSTRUCTION:
The White Forest Socks are knitted from the toe up. They are started with Judy’s Magic cast on. The instep is worked in a cable pattern. The socks are with a gusset, a heel turn knitted short-rows and elongated leg.

Yarn: Lamby Yarn (75% merino wool / 25% polyamide, 210m / 230yd per 50g / 1.75oz),
2 skein; Schachenmayr Regia Premium MerinoYak (58% wool / 28% polyamide / 14% yak, 400m / 437yd per 100g / 3.5oz), colorway 07504, 1 skein;
or other sock yarn: Schachenmayr Regia, Katia Andes, Katia Camel, Opal, Austermann.

Needles: US 1.5 / 2.5 mm at least 32” / 80 cm long circular needles or size to obtain gauge for magic loop method or DPNs if preferred.

Notions: stitch markers, tape measure, sock blockers (optional), cable needle, tapestry needle.

Gauge: 32 sts x 44 rnds to 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, knitted in the rnd, after blocking.

Techniques used: Judy’s Magic Cast-On, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off or bind-off with tapestry needle, rigth/left cross,
lifted increases, decreases, wrap&turn short-rows. Requires reading of charts.
