White Capped Waves
I love the shape of this shawl! It starts with a semi-circular shape and ends with the angles of half an octagon. It drapes beautifully over your shoulders and stays on easily, even without a shawl pin.
Finished Measurements: 45” x 20”. See schematic for more details.
Yarn: Color 1: 1 skein Whimsical Colors Silk Whimsy (400yds/100g per skein), Faded Denim
Color 2: 1 skein Whimsical Colors Silk Whimsy (400yds/100g per skein), Silver Fox.
Gauge: 20sts by 36rows in stockinette to a 4” (10cm) square. While gauge is less critical for a shawl, your yarn yardage requirements will vary when knitting to a different gauge and the overall size of the shawl will change.
Needles: US4 (3.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Tools: 6 stitch markers
Blue & Silver shawl: Faded Denim and Silver Fox in Silk Whimsy
Bronze & Cream shawl: Bronze Statue and Calico Cat in Silky Merino Light
Green & Silver shawl: Lagoon and Silver Fox in Silk Whimsy
