Knit from the cuff down with a lace pattern repeat around the full circumference of the leg and on the top of the foot. A flap and gusset heel construction and Kitchener Stitch to graft the toe.

These socks are perfect for summer, light and breathable, but also cosy enough to take you through into autumn!

Yarn
I have used Malabrigo Ultimate Sock Yarn in Zinnias, a 100g skein is more than enough for a pair of socks.
You can use any 4 ply yarn you like, but do make sure you can match the gauge given of 34sts x 42 rows

Size Guide
Hand knit socks are very easy to customise to fit your foot, the pattern instructions detail where you can be flexible with the leg and foot length.
The sizes given below are approximate shoe sizes, but you can also measure the ball of your foot to get a circumference measurement, matching the size you knit to this measurement will make it more likely that the sock will fit comfortably over your foot.

Small (S) – Foot circumference approx. 7”, UK foot size 5-6
Medium (M) – Foot circumference approx. 8”, UK foot size 6-7
Large (L) – Foot circumference approx. 9”, UK foot size 7-8
