Whimsical little star
Created and photographed in the remote Icelandic Westfjords, a little whimsical star could just be the perfect holiday gift for someone you happen to like very much
The star is worked in the round, from the edges to the middle, in stockinette stitch, one half at a time. By casting on the outer edge with the help of a second circular needle or scrap yarn, you start by finishing one half, and then live stitches will be ready for the second half.
The soft halo-effect of Léttlopi is just perfect, but of course the stars can be knit up from any yarn you have with matching needles. A great project for tiny balls of yarn!
Btw: if you like picking up new techniques, the cast on presented in the pattern might be of interest!
