When Twilight Falls derives its name from Marianated Yarns’ gorgeous multi-color in the yoke set against a moody charcoal background, reminiscent of a winter sky at twilight. The design is a top-down, pullover sweater with gentle waist shaping. It is knit in-the-round with a fair isle pattern on the yoke and lower sleeves. Instructions for the fair isle patterns are both written and charted. Short rows are used to shape the neckline after the fair isle yoke pattern is completed. The sweater is shown in Spelunking as the Main Color and Faerie Braids as the Contrasting Color.

Sheldon’s (Marianated Yarns mascot) long lost sister Missy has arrived back in town and not wanting to be left out, she requested a When Twilight Falls sweater. Of course I had to accommodate her with her own Tiny Twilight. Similar to When Twilight Falls, Missy’s Tiny Twilight is a top down, pullover sweater worked in-the-round with fair isle motifs adorning the yoke and sleeves. However, there are no short rows and for Missy, there is A-line shaping for the waist. This pattern is included with the When Twilight Falls download.
