Wheatsheaf Boot Cuffs
The Wheatsheaf Boot Cuffs or Toppers have been designed to match the Wheatsheaf Cowl, Wheatsheaf Hat and Wheatsheaf mittens. I love cables and wanted something that was both fun and quick to knit. This cable pattern reminded me of a Wheatsheaf at harvest time, though some say it reminds them of warm Winter Kisses?
The edging is ribbed (K2, P2) and has a good stretch to it. It will fit stretch between 12-22 inches for the smaller size and 14-25 inches for the m/l. The sizing is achieved by moving up a needle size and for the M/L size I used a 5.5mm/US9 circular needle for the main part of the boot cuff.
Cable pattern 24sts x 36rows = 4.25 in x 6in/11cm x 15cm with 5.5mm/US9
24sts x 36 rows = 4in x 5.5in/10cm x 14cm with 5mm/US8
