What If You ...
Shortly after finishing Just A LIttle Neck Warmer(free in my pattern store) I was showing it to several of my knitter friends looking for constructive criticism. They supplied me with the perfect list of suggestions:
What if you make the cable all go in the same direction?
done
What if you repeat cable twists?
done
What if you use a “more delicate CO/BO?
done
Neck warmers are nice, but what if you make it longer and wider at the bottom to keep my shoulders warm, too?
done
This version starts with a 6 stitch twisted edge created by working 6 stitches and then rotating the left hand needle counter clockwise 360 degrees and repeating this process until all stitches have been worked.
The body of the cowl is worked in Twisted Stockinette Stitch separeted by 5 left leaning ribbed cables. The bottom gradually widens by simply omitting the decrease used to created the left leaning cables.
The bind off is a very simple crochet technique but if crochet is not your thing, you can easily change it to any BO you prefer!
My cowl used every bit of one skein of the Zen so if you make any changes you should take that into account when purchasing yarn.
