This whale pillow pattern was inspired by the many whale-themed baby showers I saw this summer and would make a great gift! I customized the back of mine with the baby’s name. You can work up 2 whale squares, one for the front and one for the back or the pattern also includes instructions for a simple single crochet back panel. You could also use another 12” square pattern for your back panel if you wish.

The whale square will also be great to use for a blanket, making this pattern very versatile! It was discovered in testing, that the whale came out facing the opposite direction, so you may see projects where the whale is facing right instead of left, which isn’t a big deal, I just wanted to point that out.
