These crochet Whale Appliques are some cute, little embellishments for your baby items, summer accessories, and anything yarn!

The pattern comes in 2 sizes for a big and a little whale.

This pattern is written in US terms

MATERIALS
– Yarn of Choice
– Appropriate Hook Size
– Small Amount of Black Embroidery Thread (for the eyes and mouth)
– Small Amount of Light Blue Yarn or Embroidery Thread (for the water splash)
– Embroidery Needle
– Tapestry Needle

YARN REFERENCE
I used a 2.5-mm crochet hook Sport weight cotton Schachenmayr Catania in the following colors:
A – Blue
B – White

SIZE
When crocheted with sport weight yarn and a 2.5-mm (C/2 US, 12 UK) crochet hook, you can expect the following dimensions:
– Big Whale – 2.5” (6 cm) by 1.5” (3.8 cm).
– Little Whale – 2” (5 cm) by 1” (2.5 cm).

GAUGE
This pattern is too small to accurately determine the gauge.
