Handsome, classic, and perfect—this is just what a sock should be. Although I’ve knitted this pair in a sensible gray, they’d be just as wonderful in a bright color. In addition to providing instructions for
working in both directions, I’ve reversed the cable turns on the second sock. You can make both socks the same, of course,
but they’re more interesting to knit— and wear—this way. The cable and rib combo pulls in for a nice snug fit that’s ideal for legs that are slightly skinnier than “normal.”

Pattern offers both top-down and toe-up instructions, and is written so that it can be worked on DPNs, magic loop or 2 circulars, as you prefer. Foot and leg length are adjustable to fit.
