“There are dozens of rib stitch patterns in stitch dictionaries. I was intrigued by this irregular ribbing pattern that includes both a ladder made from yarnovers and columns of crossed stitches. This cowl may be made longer or shorter by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches in multiples of 16 stitch ribbing pattern and it can be made wider by working more repeats of the pattern. While it is not a truly reversible pattern I think the reverse side is attractive as well.”
