Sizes you will receive directions for:

Newborn
0-3 Months
3-6 Months
6-12 Months
12 Months – 3 Years

This pattern calls for size 4.0mm (US 6) Straight Needles and Double Pointed Needles (or use the Magic Loop Method) and lace weight Mohair yarn.
