A froth of delicate lace waves back and forth in between winding columns of beads. This asymmetrical shawl is knit from one tip to the opposite edge on the bias. Once the pattern is established, it increases one stitch every four rows.

Because of its asymmetrical shape, this shawl pattern is very easy to adapt to the amount of yarn available.

The use of beads for this pattern is optional.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl.

US Size 3 / 3.25 mm circular needle, at least 32” / 80 cm in length

Gauge
25 sts x 37 rows per 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch after blocking
30 sts x 37 rows per 4” / 10 cm in Lace and Bead pattern after blocking
Approximately 30 rows along the top edge per 4” / 10 cm

Yarn needle; stitch marker; 30 g of 6/0 seed beads (appox. 440 total – optional); 1.25 mm crochet hook for beading (optional)
