Wave Function Cowl
Wave function: a mathematical expression to describe the state of a fundamental particle, for example an electron.
Combine brioche stitches with elements of double knitting to create a striking two-colour pattern that looks equally attractive on both sides!
Each round of this cowl is worked first with one, then with the second colour. The six brioche panels of the round are “syncopated” with alternating foreground and background colours. Separating stitches at the transition from one brioche panel to the next create wavy lines of double-knit fabric.
Skills required: Basic knitting techniques, working two-colour brioche in the round, and switching between different stitch patterns within the round.
There are five different pattern rounds overall, which are given both in chart and written format. The pattern also includes photo tutorials for the two different types of brioche decreases.
