Watt Toque is 2-tone stranded hat featuring an optical illusion of 3-D boxes or horizontal chevron stripes over a vertically striped background. The pattern integrates nicely into a solid fancy-ribbed brim. Worked top down, starting wth a Emily Ocker’s cast-on, the depth of the hat can be adjusted to the wearer’s liking prior to cast-off. The width for the basic hat measures 21.25”(54 cm) and the depth is 10”(26 cm). Adjust the gauge with different needles to make a slightly larger or smaller width hat.

Double strands make an extra warm hat. Short strands make colourwork easy.
