One of the four elements, water has inspired humanity with its fluidity, transparency and reflectability throughout the ages. It is a shapeshifter, taking the form of what it is poured into, is free in nature, and requires help from the wind to form beautiful waves and from the ground to flow around.

Waterbender is a top-down raglan pullover constructed with 2-color Brioche. The wavy voluminous sleeves of Waterbender represent a wavy ocean, an ecstatic waterfall, a dancingly flowing river, while the plain Brioche stands for still waters with no interruptions from external factors.

NOTES
Waterbender starts with a 4 stitch I-cord, and then stitches are picked up along the I-cord. It is worked in the round with 2-color brioche. Wrap and turn short rows is worked for shaping the neck. Dominant colors are different on the body and sleeves and the color dominance is constructed with syncopated brioche.

Sleeves are worked with a 3-dimensional pattern constructed with increases and decreases while the body is worked in a plain 2-color brioche rib. Yoke is expanded with increases on the body and sleeves, following the raglan lines. Stitches are cast on for the underarms after the upper body is completed. Sleeves are continued with the 3-dimensional pattern and body is continued with 2-color plain brioche. All pieces are bound off using an I-cord bind off method.
