Worsted (9 wpi) ?
5 stitches = 1 inch
in Stocking stitch
English
This pattern is available for free: waterweb.pdf

-Small amounts of worsted weight cotton yarn
(I used about 1/3 a ball of Sugar’n’Cream in Rose)

Double point needles (or needles allowing you to knit small circumfrences and i-cord in the method of your choice) in the size you generally use for worsted weight

Gauge: It’s hard to go wrong because of the elasticity of the pattern, but approximately 5st/in in stocking stitch.
The lacy pattern of the web adds extra flexibility for different sized bottles - the same web is seen here with a bottle 9” around, and another bottle 12” around.
