Water Lily Slipover
We might not associate the Hebrides with water lilies but then we do have a lot of water around. Here and there in the moors you will come across water lilies in some of the lochans - a calm, still habitat also home to pond skaters and damsel flies.
The lacy pattern on this slipover echoes the up-curving leaves of these hardy Hebridean water lilies adding a delicate touch to a simple and very wearable, understated garment.
Water Lily slipover has lace detailing down both sides and is designed to be neat fitting and slightly cropped.
Please check the Finished Garment Measurement table before commencing, if you would like it slightly longer consider adding repeats of the Water Lily lace pattern. Note that any size adjustment will affect the yarn quantities required.
The slipover is knitted in the round from the bottom up to under the arm. The front and back are then knitted flat separately then grafted together across the shoulder straps. The neck and armhole rib sections are created by picking up stitches around the neck and arm holes.
