Wandrian
An ideal project for leftovers, this cowl features abstract patterns of flowers and branches paired with simple stripes. Knit in the round in a combination of stranded colorwork and stripes, the ends are grafted together for a seamless finish with no exposed floats.
Yarn
4 colors of Marina Skua Mendip DK (100% wool, 131 yds / 120 m per 50 g skein) in the following quantities:
yarn color A: approximately 190 yds / 175 m Teal (Cloudy), 2 skeins
yarn color B: approximately 95 yds / 90 m Sheep (Cloudy), 1 skein
yarn color C: approximately 85 yds / 80 m Fox (Cloudy), 1 skein
yarn color D: approximately 55 yds / 50 m Beech (Cloudy), 1 skein
If substituting yarn, DK weight is recommended.
Gauge
22 stitches and 25 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in stranded colorwork
Needles
- 16” / 40 cm circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge
(suggested size: US size 6 / 4 mm)
- spare circular needle for grafting
