WanderKnit™ - Tashi Shawl
Come travel with us! Discover, learn, and become inspired by our destination-themed quarterly WanderKnit™ packages.
Inspired by the beautifully intricate Bhutanese national attire, particularly the kira worn by Bhutanese women—a rectangular woven fabric worn as an ankle-length dress, with colorful, repeating motifs. The name “Tashi” can be given to either a boy or a girl and means “good fortune.”
Whether you wear it as a scarf, a shoulder wrap, or a shawl, this striking piece is sure to make a statement. Worked flat in mosaic knitting means you only use one color at a time! We chose (6) complimentary colors of HiKoo® CoBaSi DK, a cotton, silk, and bamboo blend perfect for year-round wear.
Step-by-step instructions for mosaic knitting are included.
