This simple, elegant cowl is worked in wide ribs that move around to create a herringbone pattern with a very organic sensibility. And the stitch pattern is reversible … both front to back and bottom to top!

Wandering Ribs cowl is knitted flat in one piece, beginning with a provisional cast on and finished by grafting ending stitches to cast-on stitches.

Notions: 3.75 mm or larger crochet hook for provisional cast on; tapestry needle, stitch markers.

Techniques used: Provisional cast on (explained), k2tog, 3 different increases, grafting in rib (with link to photo-tutorial).

Pattern includes:
Both cowl and hat patterns, stitch patterns presented in both written and charted formats, glossary.
