This is a PDF knit pattern to make a cable hat in 5 different yarn weights (light bulky, bulky, light super bulky (Noventa), light super bulky (Franca), and super bulky).

Light Bulky (Mecha) Knitting Needles:
US #6 (4 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
US #9 (5.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle
A set of DPNs in same size used for body (optional), or use magic loop method

Bulky (Chunky) Knitting Needles:
US #6 (4 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
US #10.5 (6.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle
A set of DPNs in same size used for body (optional), or use magic loop method

LIGHT Super Bulky (FRANCA) Knitting Needles:
US #10.5 (6.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
US #13 (9 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle
US #15 (10 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle
A set of DPNs in same size used for body (optional), or use magic loop method

LIGHT Super Bulky (NOVENTA) Knitting Needles:
US #9 (5.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
US #11 (8 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needle

Super Bulky (Rasta) Knitting Needles:
