Overview of the sweater:
Waldo is a very classic striped sweater, with the European shoulder-design and a relaxed fit. The
sweater is knitted top down in one piece, starting from the top of the back, which is knitted flat
and from where stitches are picked up to form the front part. The front and back parts are joined
in the round from the armpits. The rest of the work is knitted in the round. Both the sweater hem
and the sleeves have a long ribbing.

Measurements:
Bust circumference of the finished sweater: approx. 107(115)127(135)146(158) cm
Note! The sweater has around 15-25 cm of positive ease, so pick a size that is around 15-25 cm
larger than your own bust circumference (or widest part). If you want the sweater to be of a
tighter fit, choose a size that is closer to your bust circumference.
Length of the finished sweater from shoulder to hem: approx. 57-62 cm (all sizes, this can be
altered)
Circumference of the sleeve: approx. 40(42)44(46)48(59) cm

Yarn: You will need DK-strength yarn or a combination of yarns
Main colour: 200(200)250(250)300(300)g / 600(600)750(750)900(900) m
Accent colour: 70(80)100(100)120(150) g / 250(300)350(350)400(400) m

The sweater pictured in the pattern was knitted with Nordic Yarn Eco Cashmere DK in the shade
“Ivalo” and Austermann Cashemere Pure in the shade 003 (red). You can knit the sweater with
whatever DK-strength yarn or a combination of yarns, as long as you meet the gauge.

Knitting needles:

• 3 mm: double pointed needles and 60/80 cm circular needles
• 4 mm: 40 cm and 60/80 cm circular needles

Other materials: stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge (in stockinette stitch): 10 x 10 cm = 21 sts x 32 rows. (Alter the needle size to meet the
gauge)

IN FINNISH:

Waldo on klassinen raidallinen neule, jossa on lasketut eli “eurooppalaiset” olkapäät, ihana istuvuus ja väljä mitoitus. Neule neulotaan ylhäältä alas yhtenä kappaleena aloittaen selän yläosasasta, joka neulotaan tasona ja josta poimitaan silmukat etukappaleelle. Työ yhdistetään kainaloista kun etu- ja takakappaleet ovat riittävän pitkät, jonka jälkeen pusero neulotaan helmaan suljettuna neuleena. Hihoille poimitaan silmukat ja hihat neulotaan suljettuna neuleena. Helmassa ja hihansuissa on pitkät resorit ja pääntielle neulotaan lopuksi kaksinkerroin taitettava resori.

Huom! Neuleessa on noin 15-25 cm suunniteltua väljyyttä, joten valitse koko, joka on n. 15-25 cm suurempi kuin oma rinnanympäryksesi (tai levein kohta). Jos haluat napakamman neuleen, valitse koko, jonka rinnanympärys on lähempänä omaasi.

Puikot:
3 mm: sukkapuikot ja 60/80 cm pyöröpuikot
4 mm: 40 cm ja 60/80 cm pyöröpuikot
