Voyager was originally designed as a mystery knit-a-long to accompany Season 3 of Outlander, which aired in 2017. Taking place partially in Scotland, I was inspired by the Scottish Heather for the colors used and the design. The yarn company - Lorna’s Laces - has has closed and shepherd Sock is no longer available, however this is a wonderful opportunity use a skein of hand dyed speckle yarn, and 5 complimentary solid colors. You only need about 100 yards of each of the complimentary colors, so it is the perfect opportunity to use up leftovers!

With a little lace, a little garter stitch, and some slipped stitches, this shawl is simple enough to knit, with the frequent color changes keeping you on your toes!

Materials
Main Color (MC): Approximately 430 yards of fingering weight yarn.
Contrast Colors (CC1-CC5): Approximately 100 yards of 5 different contrast colors
The colors and yarn shown are discontinued (Lornas Laces Shepherd Sock), however, this pattern would work perfectly with a speckled or variegated main color, and a complimentary mini skin set.
US 4 circular needle (at least 32”) or needle to obtain gauge.
