Vortex shawl
Crochet pattern for a light and cosy wrap around shawl with a funky bobbly edging.
Designed for use of 20gm mini skeins in different colours.
Worked in segments with a “join as you go” method. 14 segments will give you the circular vortex pattern but 10-12 segments will make a nice shawl as well.
14 x 20gm balls of 4ply yarn in fading colourway plus 100gm (400m) of contrasting colour in 4ply.
NB. Please check your tension as there is not much room for error with contrast colour. I recommend Malabrigo sock yarn or any yarn over 400m. Anything less and you may need more yarn to make the 14 segments.
Alternative yarn would be a 250gm cotton cake with 100gm contrast colour. Eg. Scheepjes whirl and whirlette.
UK/Aust terminology.
PRICE IS FOR PATTERN ONLY.
